Throwing a change up
Took a long hike in the back country today instead of my normal Sunday run. It was great to try out a new trail, and spend some time with my husband ( who does not really like to run ). We went for about 2 hours, and had lots of conversation. While this may not have been my usual routine, I feel like I got a good workout physically and was refreshed emotionally by the change. Throw yourself a change up from time to time and see what happens!

Throwing a change is good. It does the mind, body, and soul good to change up your routine once in a while and get some exercise in a different way or place.
ReplyDeleteThe same can be said for students. If we occasionally give them a different physical activity to do or find a way to get them outside, especially in the winter for those who live in snow country, can be extremely beneficial.
Sharing ideas like this can be very valuable as well. There is a web site (http://www.physical-education-institute.com/physical_education_articles.html) that gives you a chance to create your own web page on their site. It appears to be a new site because there aren't many postings yet, but it sure is a great idea.
I agree. Change things up to keep the kids interested. Thanks for the link, it looks like a good site. I love to share ideas, and get new ideas to use in my classes!
